It snapped because fuckwits and the carriage fell also because of more fuckwittery.
PS: I just got me some Abus 14KS chain where the reseller told me "oh noes, that won't work with an 37/80RKKD lock." Abus says bullshit in polite corpospeak. Reseller still says it won't work. I tell the reseller to just sell me the damn thing. Reseller refuses. Buyer finds a new reseller. Buyer buys things. Buyer finds things work just like the manufacturer says, for once.
