I made the "little library helper", lhelper[1] in short to help me compile C/C++ libraries on Windows for my applications, using gcc or clang. Later it turned out so nice and useful that I got it working also on macOS and linux. I made it out of despair because compiling stuff on Windows was so painful. Now with lhelper it is a pleasure. It contains recipes for downloading and building libraries and install them in a virtual environment with only a few, useful, options.
