"I told you so syndrome" may be a normal thing. I once read a psychological paper talking about "one's willingness to make personal sacrifice for making other people feel remorse and learn when they make mistake" or something along that line (Shame I can't find the link nor remember the exact title) "I told you" is a social sacrifice I suppose.
