I've had images turned off in my email for 20 years and I still get paper mail from banks that say "We're returning to paper statements for you because you don't seem to be reading our emails." Yes I'm reading your emails. Your email vendor is simply lying to you when they say they know when emails are not being read. Quit believing them. Maybe this move by Apple will finally get the message across.
