Show HN: Made a Simple Task-Based Time Tracker
- ttntm 5y agoHi all, leaving this little web app here that I made on a weekend back in February. I'm still using it daily as it helps me in keeping track of all the different tasks and tickets I work on during the day. It's completely free and open source too, the code can be found here: https://github.com/ttntm/itrack https://github.com/ttntm/itrack
- Festro 5y agoIs the save function supposed to save the current time tracked on each task? Currently it only seems to save the names of the tasks. All time is wiped on refresh - a little frustrating if the tab is accidentally closed or machine restarted.
- ttntm 5y ago"Save" only saves the tasks (not the times) in order to provide a way to save a default configuration. Saving tasks with time tracked on them wasn't a use case for me yet, but I'll think about that. There's a safety prompt when closing the tab and/or browser window while there's an active task. That doesn't kick in when rebooting though. Overall, it'll probably be best to add an options menu at some point that controls things like global auto-save, auto-start for new tasks and maybe some other things that pop up over time.
- quickthrower2 5y agoNice UX. I love a web app that just works without even signing up.
