nit: I feel we're far enough into the 21st century and photography has been around for long enough that it isn't completely clear what century is meant by 'midcentury'. I figured it'd be the 20th century, but it could have also been the 19th century.
- keiferski 5y agoIn the arts, midcentury almost always refers to the 20th century. Just one of those terms. I imagine it’ll go away once we get past the 2050s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-century_modern https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-century_modern
