I lock my doors, and have wooden dowels in the tracks of the windows to keep them from being opened from the outside. Getting footage of a person breaking in to your home and stealing your valuables seems pretty pointless to me. Unless someone gets murdered during the break-in, the cops won't do anything with it. All you're doing is advertising that you have valuables worth monitoring.
