It is unfortunate that a good manager, not unlike a good sysadmin, is invisible; you never realise how much of a shit umbrella they are.
- munk-a 5y agoThis is why, one on ones are great but you should also occasionally meet your manager and talk with them in a less formal setting. If you're out at dinner celebrating a new project release (especially if the drinks are flowing) - then you'll hear about all the shit they're keeping off your back.
