The Senate Passes a Bill to Encourage Tech Competition, Especially with China
- LatteLazy 5y agoI'm not sure if I'm just oversensitive but... The article seems to be mostly repeating talking pieces from politicians?! There are no real facts about the bill. Just politicians decrying "Chinese communism" and "unfair competition". But be clear: they're not "anti asian". And they're bipartisan or not bipartisan enough, or maybe they are? I feel like getting stuck in bickering over who's idea it was (George W Bush maybe?) and making sure to hit talking points etc is the exact opposite of what a country/government actually taking actual action looks like. Did people talk this way about Apollo? No mention of aims or measures of success just snippets from the politicians re-election campaigns.
