  Nope, no need! Tax ID is validated when you accept the payment: https://stripe.com/docs/tax/checkout#create-session https://stripe.com/docs/tax/checkout#create-session.

    Precision: if you're using Stripe checkout only. On a custom integration you do need to get the customer VAT ID and add it to your Stripe customer
