I'm curious if/how this could be addressed with better collaboration systems. E.g., suppose everyone's WFH office had a Google Jamboard and high-quality videoconferencing system. If it addressed your concerns and per-employee cost was $10k initial + $5k/year, I would think it's still a win given the typical total-comp cost of a U.S.-based software developer.
