I don‘t think autonomous driving can be bought today and in the near future. This is a moving target where there is continuous development happening. You may buy sensors, processors and actuators but software and other content is the more important. Also the backend server infrastructure is a continuous expenditure. If competition works the price and cost structure can‘t be much divorced and that would indicate a fixed price plus a regular service fee. To further adoption it makes sense to drop the former and carry the investment risk by the side that best can afford it.
