- kokanator 5y agoWhat the paper calls for is the definition of censorship. A group of individuals with government oversight decides what is allowed to be published. The document expressly states this is to quiet certain voices. Definition of censorship: "he suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security."
- epgui 5y agoUnless I've misread something, that's not what the paper calls for at all. In fact the paper seems particularly concerned with avoiding excessive centralization of gatekeeping powers. Decentralizing gatekeeping power is the opposite of censorship.
