- janandonly 5y agoThe soda’s where not the reason staff started to leave the company. For them having to pay all of a sudden was only a wake-up call. I remember reading this story some years ago. Apparent HN recycled through posts/articles?

This is a common occurrence ... people find anarticle that's really interesting and post it, not realising (or in some cases not caring) that it was posted before, sometimes many times). I think there's a place for "Classic HN", but the idea doesn't seem to have caught on. Things like The Black Team, The Story of Mel, and The 500-mile Email are, and should be, perennials.
- ColinWright 5y agoThis is a great read, and it's also worth reading the comments from HNers from 2009 when first submitted, and 2013 on the first resubmission. It's been submitted many times since then, but without additional insights or comments, but those first discussions are interesting, sometimes as much for what is not said as for what is said. That requires "reading with attention", and you may decide it's not worth your time.
