Amazon has 10000+ open positions for software engineers in the U.S.
- davismwfl 5y agoSounds like a good program overall, just disappointing they still haven't adopted remote work, especially for engineering positions. Maybe I am wrong or missing something, but just looking at their application page (US focused) you still have to relocate to one of a dozen or so cities in 4-5 states (probably similar elsewhere). Not everyone wants to relocate to one of those places and the number of people like that is growing. You would think with so many positions open they would be adapting to remote teams and fill at least a portion of positions that way. Not everything can or should be remote, but a lot of what Amazon engineers do can be remote easily, especially with the smaller team sizes they supposedly follow.
