Enjoyed reading this. You need to have a specified character to take that level of career / financial risk. He seems to be curiousity driven above all else. Hope he's continuing to do cool stuff after his PhD.
From how the field seems to develop, it might be quite likely.
- daughart 5y agoUnless I missed where the article revealed the scientist's gender, the interviewee may not be male. I agree it was an enjoyable read, though!
