World IPv6 Day
- Jonnax 5y agoWe've come a long way. 0.3% of internet users to 34% https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html I'm still amazed at how many people will say "CG-NAT" is all you need. People don't want globally routable addresses. Probably the same kind of person that says 10mbps upload speed is all anyone would ever want.
- LinuxBender 5y agoA big chunk of the ipv6 adoption is from wireless and VPS providers. Amazon, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc... Consumer ISP adoption is still rather low. I don't have the link handy, though it came up in a past discussion here.
- cheweh 5y agoGlobally routable addresses are bad for privacy.
- Jonnax 5y agoThanks for proving my point. People like you don't want to give users a choice.
