Good news that Apple is at least thinking of interoperability, even if it is really basic. I am curious if their product can compete in the open market, though. Facetime UI/UX is quite horrible when compared to Whatsapp/Messenger. My prediction is that this feature will see negligible adoption and use, partly because the product is inferior compared to other pre-existing video-calling options.
