Subscriptions are death by a thousand cuts. A number of years ago I cut all subscriptions after doing a self-audit and discovering just how much these things were bleeding from me. Now I won't even touch a subscription service anymore unless there's no alternative.
I STILL get the odd $0.23 subscription charge for some AWS thing I haven't used in a decade, and I can't figure out where it's even coming from.
- johnnypangs 5y agoI had this once, I ended up finding something in a region I don’t normally use. I have also canceled an aws account over this which I would not recommend as they require you to go through support to reactivate. Doable but annoying.
- exdsq 5y agoI just cancel my card from time to time to kill the subscriptions and then re-sign up on those I miss. Monzo's virtual cards help a lot too.
