⩵ != ==
- edent 5y agoAlways interesting to see how HN mangles titles!
- tompark 5y ago> This leads to the deeply weird situation where "⩵" ≠ "==" and absolutely no programming language that I know of will let you use the correct Unicode characters! What about Agda? I was impressed how Agda allows you to use a lot of Unicode operators and ascii character sequences to do the same thing (e.g. → and `->`). Not sure about the situation he mentions above, but I'd bet Agda supports it too.
- freemint 5y agoIt does work in Julia though and is only a pull request away from becoming part of the language: julia> const ⩶ = === === (built-in function) julia> const ⩵ = == == (generic function with 171 methods) julia> 1 ⩶ 1 true julia> 1 ⩵ 2 false
- snicker7 5y agoJulia defines ≠ in Base. julia> 3 ≠ 4 true
