There aren't any static classes... that's what makes america great. Socioeconomic mobility in the US is amongst the lowest of developed countries. If a lack of static classes is what makes a country great, then can we assume that a great many other developed countries with much more socioeconomic mobility are greater? If what makes America great is all these opportunities, as you say, then something must have gone very wrong since so few people are using these opportunities to move up.
