Study finds only 1/3 of adults would take an immortality pill if they could
- NGRhodes 5y agoI'd hate taking an immortality pill only to be stuck with an eternity of pain and suffering.
- emteycz 5y agoIt's not like you can't commit suicide.
- pontifier 5y agoI wonder how many, given a hypothetical situation in which we live forever as the default, would take a pill to artificially shorten their lifespan to 100 years.
- fallingfrog 5y agoI totally would. My body could do anything and just bounce back when I was 25. Why wouldn’t you want to just stay that way?
- andyana 5y agoFor some, life isn't all roses.
- fallingfrog 5y agoGrey hair, bad knees and diabetes can’t possibly make it better.
- andyana 5y agoNo, but bad knees and diabetes hastens the inevitable. Hell, they might not even hurt as bad as the depression.
- fallingfrog 5y agoYou’re right, depression can hurt a lot worse than pretty much any physical pain. I would encourage anyone to talk to someone if they were in that situation, because there are things that can help. That pain is not forever.
- diveanon 5y agoAsk them again right before they are about die.
