I do a lot of statistics/sampling work. To me, randomness and complexity certainly are not mutually exclusive. In fact I would argue that randomness results in a lot of the complexity in our world, hell, quantum mechanics is entirely probabilistic, even for single particles
- aliswe 5y agofor me, using QM as as argument will require you to fully qualify what the reasoning is ... some reasoning would also be appreciated to the other points, in fact I am not sure you have presented an argument at all? not looking to debate of course - if you simply want to state your opinion without explaining then thats fine too
- _kulang 5y agoI’m just curious as to what you think, as you seem to indicate you don’t think complexity arising from randomness is good/something you don’t believe is true. I’m pretty comfortable with that as an idea, I’m genuinely wondering what your opinion is for opinion’s sake, hence why I haven’t presented an argument per se. I (apparently) used the word argue but it’s a figure of speech
