> How to indulge a senior manager who wants to talk about technical stuff that they don’t really understand, without rolling your eyes or making them feel stupid This I sometimes struggle with. It doesn't help that my recent efforts in this area have been with someone who also displays every bit of Dunning Kruger and beliefs in magic thinking like "the internet doesn't have problems and retries should never have to happen so we must have a bug!" or "everything can be solved with DNS (because they don't know how DNS works, what is is or how it can be used)".
