Everyone Lies to Tech Leaders
- jaderubick 5y agoWhy the environment tech leaders are in distorts their perception of reality and some tips for countering that.
- ncmncm 5y agoAuthor suggests, “I think this is what we should do, but let’s make sure it’s the best approach..." No. "It is starting to look like this is what we should do, but I'm not sure it's really the best course. Can we do better?"
- jaderubick 5y agoThat seems better to me! Thanks for the feedback.
- ncmncm 5y agoAlso. "If we do this, what kind of problems to you foresee that we might need to watch out for?" Because every solution creates or exposes new problems, but that's not a reason to do nothing.
- jaderubick 5y agoDo you mind if I incorporate these into the blog post and mention you in the thank you?
- ncmncm 5y agoPlease be my guest. No ACK needed. "I'm telling you, Molotov cocktails work! Anytime I had a problem and I threw a Molotov cocktail, boom! Right away, I had a different problem." - Jason Mendoza, The Good Place
- boltzmann_brain 5y agostarted well, but then "So many white male CEOs ..." stopped reading right there
- alexfromapex 5y agoI’ve noticed different treatment with different titles too and it’s very frustrating especially if your title isn’t flattering
- Woodi 5y agoWOW, so positive and optimistic ! Unreal ;) Somewhere in the middle of Tanenbaum OS book I found info that one manager should manage 10 teams... If I remeber corectly. What's in reality ? Also I have my private theory that too often success makes CEO or managers into ferrari-cocaine-whores ugly types and that instantly makes them uncreative and happy with no progress in company. Aka stagnation and frustration for others. With bad health you can even have problems with understanding what people talk to you not to mention multilevel understanding and looking for a way to resolve things.
