Most of the people in management would be extroverts so they are the ones clamouring for back to office and their work also by nature is mostly collaborative mostly talking to ppl etc. For us ICs, even though we also collaborate, once you have a design etc or after task allocation, its mostly individual work and you get disrupted if you have any distractions. But its hard for management to understand this, since they view everything thru their lens.
