My theory is that they test this on their 10 Gbit company network, and high-end laptops, and it works great. So it's hard to convince anyone that it's a problem.
- lrem 5y agoIn the office we are strongly encouraged to try our stuff with the WiFi network degraded to perform like EDGE (apparently nobody cares about GPRS any more). Obviously that hasn't been exercised much since last spring.
- tdaltonc 5y agoMost Google offices have multiple wifi networks for simulating different kinds of degraded connectivity.
