You Don’t Need Permission
- proc0 5y agoYeah yeah, until you're asked what you've been up to the past week, and then the reaction is "why didn't you communicate this?". This "hierarchical politics" (not sure what else to call it), is people on the relative "top" having their cake and eating it too. They want people to take initiative but at the same time they wag the finger when you go off and do some tagnential work they didn't know about. Which one is it, you want transparency or you want initiative? These seem to be somwwhat in conflict, the more transparent you need to be, the less room there is to do anything new and creative.
