- geofft 5y agoThat headline is a misrepresentation / a misapplied quote - according to the article, the scientists say lockdown had no effect on R falling below 1 because R was already below 1 when lockdown started. Saying that it had no effect on the pandemic is a much stronger claim. In any case, without the actual link to the paper, this is propaganda (even if true) and not science.
