Fandom. Unfortunately it's the best source for in depth data about several video games I play (notably Civ VI... e.g. here's a random page [1]) but for a website with primarily user-generated text content, it loads a ton of video ads on every single page, making it a bear to use.

- colanderman 5y agoYou keep making these comments, like HN users don't know that ad blockers exist. These comments are particularly unhelpful in a thread specifically about identifying bloated websites.
- coldpie 5y agoBlocking ads is good for users, good for the Internet, and good for society, so I evangelize for it as much as I can.
