My bank (a Bank of America subsidiary). Takes about 12 seconds to log in, 5 - 6 seconds to load each page in their site. My typical session (check that a transaction went through, or read a message through their secure portal) takes a minute or two. Infuriating.
Data transfer isn't a major factor, it's all delay in their servers.
- dole 5y agoour regional electric utility provider's site is slick, all ajax and pretty and every click takes at least 30 seconds to complete an action. it's noticably slower than most other bloated sites, and i don't understand how their developers, much less anyone else can stand it. it can't be THAT much faster being local to the machine or network.
