  There is a lot of Chinese immigrants working in the fashion and textile industry in those areas in Northern Italy, with frequent flight connections to Wuhan, which is also a hub for fashion and textile industry.

  If Italy really had infections as early as September 2019, then why Wuhan-- and not Italy-- was the singular point where the Covid 19 pandemic started? Ultimately, whether Italy had infections before Wuhan couldn't tell us anything about the origin.

  It seems plausible for all the evidence for very early infections elsewhere to be just mistaken. But if it is right it does contradict the hypothesis.
