Ask HN: Algolia, for Google Scholar?

I often use the Algolia reader to look through past Hacker News entries, and find popular articles (hn.algolia.com). Is there something similar for Google Scholar? (scholar.google.com). I think it would make it much easier to surface and find interesting research.
