I know some people who work for a TSMC subsidiary- they take security extremely seriously, all data is physically located in Taiwan and everyone remotes in, super locked down systems, etc. I can’t imagine their actual production floor being connected to anything at all, ever. You’d need a stuxnet style airgap jump.
