Doesn't Netflix practice cutting the bottom 10% every year?
- hintymad 5y agoNope. The management, at least to the director level, does not even discuss this. The company's culture stack makes it clear that it's okay for someone to be content and just to do her job. Stack ranking damages team trust, promotes unnecessary in-fight, and incentivized teams to focus on short-term goals. To quote some director's words: if you want to compete, compete with our competitors instead of your coworkers.
- KittenInABox 5y agoOh weird, I heard Netflix offers the best base salary around because they make annual workplace cuts of 10%. Sounds awesome if they don't do that!
