Honest question:
Do we, the HN community, believe that we can have good faith discussions about Huawei without the interference of PRC propagandists on the one side and anti-Sino infowarriors on the other?
- zxcb1 5y agoWhy can't I joke about communism here? Can we even make the distinction anymore? The cooperative form of organization seems quite healthy though. https://www.huawei.com/en/facts/question-answer/who-owns-huawei https://www.huawei.com/en/facts/question-answer/who-owns-hua...
- FooBarWidget 5y agoI'm not sure what the point of this question is. I am willing to engage in good faith conversations but many people aren't. Oftentimes I'm immediately labeled a propagandist/bot, or just downvoted without replies, without any consideration for what I actually said or the sources I provided or my long history. Most people seem to have already made up their minds to attack people that have opinions that differ from their own.
- dec0dedab0de 5y agoI trust that HN will down vote, or at least intelligently counter any dishonest comments. If those "PRC propagandists, and ant-sino infowarriors" are making their respective points honestly, then I see no problem with having them around.
- loyukfai 5y agoLet's try, as always. Reply based on facts and logic; Refrain from using derogatory words; Avoid straying into conspiracy theories; Upvote quality replies; Report those going way out of line. Cheers.
