I have doubts about the reproducibility (and objective quality) of the results of brewing methods like this. Let's see more scientific trials.
- distributedsean 5y agoI own a coffee roasting company and I 100% agree with you. This is pretty trivial to test (even a blind test would determine whether it was subjectively better or worse for an individual) but there is no interest in doing it, everyone comes up with their own dumb "method" and then in a year or two everyone switches to something else. A really good sign of this is to look at the various barista competitions from a couple of years ago and see how many of their amazing techniques are still being used.
