Node.js: why it is the best solution for Enterprise Software
- richeyryan 5y agoThis is a bit of a puff piece and ad for this agency. I do like Node but I don't think this does much to advocate for it. I was curious about the NASA case study however. It seems the data to analyse the issue was spread across multiple databases making it difficult to find the solution to the space helmet problem. They used Node to create an ETL pipeline to centralise the data into a RethinkDB instance and ElasticSearch index. It was then easily accessible for whoever needed it. It seems it was a success for them but I'm not sure you can attribute much of it to Node specifically. Though if the team was able to get the job done and achieve good results using Node good for them.
