Here in Germany they are still everywhere. I would estimate, that 2/3 of BMW 3 and 5, Audi 4 and 6, Mercedes C-class and almost all VW Passat are sold as station wagons. What is dead here is a sedan. But the overall number of SUVs and crossovers is still rising. I personally love the space and utility of my BMW 3rd touring and I will not buy any electric car which is not a station wagon.
