SEEKING WORK | San Francisco | remote I'm looking for consulting work, mainly in privacy or information security. I was the first staff technologist at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and worked there for 19 years. I was an early member of the Let's Encrypt CA project and early developer of the Certbot client, and have been one of the most active members of the Let's Encrypt Community Forum solving problems with Let's Encrypt integrations. I have thorough knowledge of (almost) all things Let's Encrypt and HTTPS. I've also served as an expert witness in court cases, and worked closely with the EFF lawyers throughout my time at EFF. Enthusiastic about Python, Unix, shell scripting, network protocols; knowledgeable enough about cryptography not to roll my own! Worked on fun stuff like the cold boot attack, reproducible builds, and catching Comcast spoofing TCP RST packets to interfere with subscribers' P2P sessions.
