You don't set co-founder equity based off of what has been done. It's based off of a forward looking perspective. How big of a role will this person play, and in what areas, on a go forward. Is this person going to help you get to the promised land? It sounds like you value them as a resource to help you hit a deadline. It's unlikely they value themselves that way. It'll help the conversation along of you ask them what role they see themselves playing on the next 12-24 months. If you want to get the best price, you'll need to have an alternative. I'll re-iterate the previous comment. Whatever you propose should be a starting point for a larger conversation.
