When Chrome first came out, the lightweight, clean and out of your field of view tab bar was a welcome change.
FF did pretty good with small changes that, in my view, have made it look better over the years.
edit : Ok, checked the new design. Definitely don't like the tab buttons, mainly because when there are multiple open, there are no discernable borders among them. So a tad bit confusing.
- ncann 5y agoSame, I definitely don't like the new tabs with no border around them.
- geenew 5y agoI agree, inactive tabs need to have a border around them. At the same time I like how the tab bar is separated from the address/bookmark bar. Makes it much easier to identify the active tab.
- ksec 5y agoI am not too sure with border. Especially when you have on mouse over the Tab are floated out with different colour. Especially when you have dozens of tabs, the current style make it cleaner.
- keymone 5y agoI got rid of top tabs panel in favor of tree view, can’t imagine ever switching back.
- lobocinza 5y agoWhich addon do you use?
- keymone 5y agoTree Style Tab and some custom css to hide top tab panel
- ustamills 5y agoI used to have my tabs hidden (I used Tree-Style too) but now they won't hide. Could you share your CSS you are using? Mine looks like: @-moz-document url("chrome://browser/content/browser.xul") { #TabsToolbar { visibility: collapse !important; } }
- keymone 5y agohey, sorry for late reply, i know some ways have stopped working over time, so my userChrome has accumulated a bunch of them: #main-window[tabsintitlebar="true"]:not([extradragspace="true"]) #TabsToolbar > .toolbar-items { opacity: 0; pointer-events: none; } #main-window:not([tabsintitlebar="true"]) #TabsToolbar { visibility: collapse !important; } #sidebar-box[sidebarcommand="treestyletab_piro_sakura_ne_jp-sidebar-action"] #sidebar-header { display: none; } #titlebar { visibility: collapse; }
