Excellent. There is a shift from university for its own sake, back to skilled work in making things. A more rational motivation. I was far too often, far too much like the arrogant snots the author encountered at university; I had been conditioned to be the smartest guy in the room. But I was passionate about computers and the engineering that had created them, and I worked hard. Not sure that the space I was taking up would have had more benefit to someone else.
