The No CSS Manifesto
- drusepth 5y agoThis looks really cool, I vibe 100% behind the concept of "include a standardized CSS lib so you never have to write your own CSS", and I love the naming conventions (with some nitpicky exceptions), but nowadays it's really hard to even consider a new CSS library if it doesn't even have a library of components to preview and/or copy/paste the HTML for. Contrast to e.g. MaterializeCSS [1] which also allows you to get by with their pre-made CSS classes 95% of the time without writing your own, but also showcases how those classes can compost together to form more complex components/interactions. I can't tell if this library has basic things like buttons, accordions, menus, dropdowns, input/label styling, etc, and I'm inclined to believe it either doesn't or that I need to create my own "super css classes" that combine all the pieces I'd otherwise repeatedly use every time I need e.g. a button, which kind of goes against their "write no CSS" manifesto. Very cool project that I'd definitely be interested in seeing some sites made with it, though.
