That's just a visa, not immigration which would require permanent residency status.
- 3np 5y agoHow so? Japan is far from alone in requiring X years of residence on a 1-5 year visa before transitioning to a permanent residence status which doesn’t require visa renewals. Granted English is not my first language but this is the first time I hear about this supposed distinction.
