Hack Hardware with inPulse (YC W11) - Fall intern
www.getinPulse.com
We design and build hackable, wearable electronics. Our first product is inPulse, a $149 connected smartwatch. We usually have about 2-3 interns (or 'coops' as they're known in Canada) and we're looking for a few talented hackers to join us in September 2011.
Location: Mountain View, CA
Almost everything is done in-house: architecture design, schematic/PCB layout, embedded drivers/firmware, Android and Blackberry app dev, industrial design...
We push updates out over the air, so your code could be running on someones wrist tomorrow.
Experienced in the hardware dark arts? Put them to work:
- Embedded firmware development (C)
- Microcontroller knowledge (ARM, MSP430, Arduino)
- Bluetooth stack
- SPI, I2C, UART experience
Benefits:
- Competitive salary
- Flexible scheduling (work when you're most productive)
- As many watches as you can wear
- $400/month rent subsidy (it's too $$ here)
If you have any questions or would like to apply, flip us a list of projects (hard/soft) that you've worked on: jobs@getinPulse.com. If you're looking to hack hardware full-time...you'd better ping us as well.
