This is one-sided fluff. None of the stats in the main article are correlated to actual working hours. People have been buying lots more alcohol and weed, okay: when did they consume it? And the linked survey completely ignores the question of how much people are working when they're not on the clock. Taking a nap during the day and then making up the time afterwards (by working late) is not accounted for.
