Ask HN: Do you think audio messages are hype?
Now that Clubhouse has died down a bit, do you think audio messaging is hype? And that text messaging will continue to be dominant in the next 5-10 years?
- rvz 5y agoyes. In the case for Clubhouse, it is over hyped. How is a single feature that has less than 2 million active users, app only, entirely copied by many of their own competitors and has no revenue worth $4 billion? With the pandemic drawing to a close, I won't be surprised to see Clubhouse struggling for the attention it needs right now to stay relevant.
