Zürich so far up? Daycare costs are through the roof, so much so that it makes more sense for one parent to quit and stay with the kids fulltime. Have more than one child? You’re in for a world of hurt.
- durnygbur 5y agoSwitzerland being among the most in demand countries can moderate the immigration demographic as they want. They really don't care whether you reproduce.
- dt3ft 5y agoSwitzerland is overrated. It's a beautiful country, but quality of life (if you want or have children) is far from good. It's brutal and backwards. For example, there is a tax "punishment" if you get married (you pay more tax if you get married), so people end up living in partnerships, well into their 60s. Daycare costs are a third of your income per child. I have a friend who has 2 kids and his wife will probably never go back to work, as that would not make financial sense.
