How many treatments have you had? Did you go into the “k-hole”? It seems that having the right setting and the state of mind matters. Doctors are still doing a lot of guesswork and stumbling around to find the most effective approach.
- cupcake-unicorn 5y agoThe therapeutic treatments aren't meant to go into the "k-hole", they are lower dose in comparison. I did feel woozy, drugged, and mildly dissasociated after the IV and needed a bit of help getting up right after. Something that may have interfered was that I was scheduled for IVs 3 times a week but they were down to 2x per week because it was during the holidays, which kind of sucks. This was done in a hospital setting so it's very clinical and this particular one was right next to the ECT room so it wasn't exactly chill. However I'm used to being in clinical settings and didn't mind it much.
